La nuova puntata di RockWave, trasmissione condotta da Alberto Prisco, si apre con “Neverender” dei Justice, duo francese composto da Gaspard Augé e Xavier De Rosnay, maestri nel creare atmosfere elettroniche che fanno ballare. Partecipa al progetto il cantautore e polistrumentista australiano Kevin Parker, mente dei Tame Impala.

“All I Want Is You” è il nuovo singolo dei Decemberists, che il 14 giugno pubblicheranno il nuovo album “As It Ever Was, So It Will Be Again”. Si sono formati a Portland (Oregon), nel 2000 e sono guidati dal cantante e compositore Colin Meloy. Il gruppo ha creato un repertorio che spazia dal folk-rock tradizionale a ballate acustiche, con influenze letterarie e temi storici.

È stato annunciato a sorpresa “Songwriter”, un nuovo album di inediti postumo di Johnny Cash. Il disco è stato confezionato dal figlio John Carter Cash, che ha lavorato su registrazioni originali del 1993, che furono accantonate quando Johnny incontrò il produttore Rick Rubin, dando inizio a una prolifica partnership musicale che rivitalizzò la carriera dell’uomo in nero. L’album contiene 11 tracce scritte esclusivamente da Johnny, il primo singolo estratto è “Well Alright”.

La puntata si chiude con “Under the Milky Way” un singolo degli Orcas, progetto musicale composto da Rafael Anton Irisarri e Benoît Pioulard. E’ una nuova versione dell’hit del 1988 dei The Church, contenuta nel loro quinto album in studio “Starfish”. È stata scritta dal bassista e cantante Steve Kilbey e dalla fidanzata di allora Karin Jansson dei Curious. Gli Orcas hanno deciso di reinterpretare questa canzone come un assaggio, del loro terzo album completo in uscita a breve per Morr Music.
